my first cigarette (or rather, my first four)

let's start with my influences. almost every person and every character that i admire smokes. natalie portman smokes. julie delpy smokes. rachel greene smokes. lolita smokes.

i don't have to love it, but since i've deflated my ego for less important things that aren't even worth mentioning, i might as well make an exception for one harmless cigarette. (that was my first deliberate deception to myself)

my first reactions -- my heart beats wildly. and i need a respirator. in between coughs, i asked my friends (from work) who i amused greatly with my struggles, am i supposed to inhale it all in before releasing? and i thought, "it's supposed to attack your lungs! so yes, breathe it in." and i did. and i coughed again.

the packet says strawberry flavor. good. this will help me like it.

well did i? was it a pleasant experience? i honestly cannot tell you. all i know is that i was in desperate need for mints. weird, but i felt claustrophobic.

i, however, asked if i could take the rest home.

Did you smoke any more when you brought them home? I found your blog because I just smoked the first cigarette of my life last week. I had the second one yesterday. I'm starting to like it a little more.

hello,
i'm starting to get used to it, but im not sure if i already like it.
i hope you find out what you're looking for in that smoke. wink. =)

I'm not really looking for anything in that smoke :-). I just want to have fun. I bought a pack of cigarettes yesterday instead of bumming them off my friend. I smoked 2 already today I'm getting such a head rush. Are you feeling that too?

worse. i vomited. i only smoke one stick a day but last night i was partying with my friend (who smoked 25!!!) and i had seven. that's like overdose.
but to be perfectly honest, i do feel much calmer afterwards.
my friend has this theory that the addiction to smoke started when prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to humans. i think it's interesting.

I didn't think it was true, but I agree with you, I am starting to notice that I feel a lot calmer as well.

Please give us an updated blog entry on your progress some time in the near future.

I know have some Parliament Lights from a friend. I'm smoking about 2 or 3 a day and loving each one. It's a pretty enjoyable experience especially with a glass of wine. I notice inhaling is a lot easier after some wine.

Can't wait for the update, thanks.
